Eye on the Ball
Built by a Coach. Made for Tennis.
The story behind Eye on the Ball.
Meet Mark Douglas Foti
Mark Douglas Foti grew up in the Bay Area with tennis in his blood. He attended USC, where he served as a hitting partner and manager for the Division I Men's Tennis Team — a program that won an NCAA National Championship during his time with it.
After college, Mark began coaching full-time. Over more than a decade, he has worked with players of every background: young beginners, adults in their seventies, nationally ranked juniors, and professional players. He coached at the 2017 US Open and has worked with Stanford's High Performance Cardinal Clinic and Stanford's Nike Tennis Camp.
Mark created Eye on the Ball because he believes tennis is more than a sport — it's a lifestyle. The brand reflects the same attention to detail, authenticity, and love of the game that he brings to every lesson.
His philosophy is simple: keep your eye on the ball, and everything else follows.
